Inflation and Recession

High Inflation in India has wrecked the Lower Middle Class and Upper Middle Class population considerably. Growing number of Middle Class Population has now become a major concern for Political Parties in this Country.

Most of Indian Middle Class people are reasonably educated hence there is a reason for Politicians to fear. Ever rising rice, wheat, vegetables, petrol prices sent shock waves in the MIddle Class.

Based on this many analysts feel that present government may not come into power again. But it is not easy for NDA or the so called third front either to win the next elections.

Elections in the 5 States may give some indications about the future parliament elections.

Indian Economy

Indian Economy has been progressing rapidly for some years. Infrastructure Sector particularly is doing well. If the Infrastructure bottlenecks could be overcome, Indian Economy should be posting a growth of above 10 per cent. But one real concern is distribution of wealth. The gap between the have and have nots is also increasing. Disparities between the Urban and Rural population is also a concern. But because of the burgeoning middle class population is one happy thing. Indian middle class has a considerable purchasing power.

Sub prime issue of US is still causing tremors in Indian Stock Market. It is still unclear what would be the long term implications of sub prime on US as well as International markets. I want people who have knowledge of the issue to post and share on this blog.

As I am little busy doing other things, could not post to this blog. Now on, try to post often.

A begining towards analyzing economies inside out

Day by day it is becoming increasingly difficult to understand World Economy and also various countrys' economies. Hence I think experts in this field should enlighten common people in this regard. Of course I have some awareness about economics being a financial journalist for more than a decade. But, I may not really be in a position to write every thing on my own. So I request all my friends and media fraternity to give a hand for this blog.

It seems we have been traveling towards economic doom, and this fact is being recognized by analysts and academicians here and there. Can we bring all this information to one place. My intention of launching this blog is precisely that only.
